ABOUT AMBER

Amber Motley is an artist well-versed in a wide variety of media. Her higher art education began at California State University Stanislaus, where she studied for two years before transferring to Sacramento State. Amber graduated from Sac State in the Fall of 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, and a concentration in New Media.

Amber's work ranges from cartoon-like and expressive to abstract and conceptual...and sometimes a bit grotesque! As well as having experience in differing types of content, Amber also shows skill in many types of media. From charcoal to oil paint, digital paintings to ink drawings, animation to sculpture, Amber loves to experiment and push herself to improve in every type of media.

Her academic work is inspired by deeply personal and emotional experiences, while her freelance and down time pieces are often silly, lighthearted and works of fan art. Amber is intrigued by this dichotomy, but also hopes to find a balance between these styles.

Amber's goal as an artist is to continue exploring the boundaries of the media she chooses, while working toward a career in the entertainment industry.
